As we wrap up 2025 and contemplate the year ahead, we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. It’s been another busy, rewarding year here at Walnut Grove Clinic and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a supportive and caring community here in Portishead. Whether you visited us for a treatment, attended classes, sought support through something more challenging, or simply stopped by with a kind word – you’ve been part of what made this year special. We’re so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us and as we head into 2026, we’re looking forward to continuing this journey with you, side by side.
This summer brought a few changes for our team. We were sad to see Laura, one of our much-loved receptionists, retire – though we wish her all the best for this next chapter. Stepping seamlessly into her role, Elle has been doing a fantastic job keeping everything running smoothly.
After nearly 20 wonderful years with us, Linda, our longest-serving physiotherapist, moved on to new challenges and we were delighted to welcome Beth to the team, ensuring our physiotherapy department remains as strong and supportive as ever.
Thank you to everyone who supported our MacMillan coffee morning in September, organised by our lovely Jane. Whether you donated cakes or ate them, you helped us raise around £127.70 for the charity.
November welcomed the start of a new collaboration with Ruth from Root and Renew Nutrition. We often get asked for nutritionists so this is the perfect referral pathway. Ruth is going to be hosting a free talk on 17th January 10-11am at the clinic on Slade Road discussing: Food Matters – What To Eat For Energy, Happiness And Health’.
Due to their popularity, 2025 also saw us introduce a few new Pilates classes – an early morning class with Gemma Hichens, on Thursdays, for those early risers amongst you and a new fitness Pilates class with Sarah, on Monday evenings, for those after a slightly different challenge.
Walnut Grove Wellbeing CIC (the non-profit arm of the clinic) continues to grow and we now offer six Senior Strong classes. We have been running falls prevention courses with a new one starting in January; we have new senior Zen and Tone Pilates classes with Candy and the Better Breathing classes continue on Wednesdays with Becky. With Jo from Functional Fitness at the helm of the Women’s Strength classes, these ladies are literally going from strength to strength! To enquire about any of the amazing CIC courses and classes just contact the clinic or email contact@walnutgrovewellbeingcic.com
As we look ahead to 2026, the team at Walnut Grove is excited to continue supporting you in feeling your best – physically, mentally and emotionally. Your health and wellbeing remain at the heart of everything we do and we’re here to offer care that’s not just professional, but personal and compassionate too. Whether you’re working towards new goals, managing ongoing health needs, or simply aiming to take better care of yourself, we’ll be right here with you – ready to help in any way we can.
Have a wonderful festive period wherever you may be and thank you, from all us at Walnut Grove Clinic, from the bottom of our hearts for all your continued love and support through 2025 and beyond.
