Nutritional Support

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition advice that cuts through the noise - using food, diet and supplements tailored specifically to you and your health goals.
ABOUT THE THERAPY

What is Nutritional Support?

With so much conflicting information out there, it is easy to become confused about what healthy eating actually means. Every week brings a different headline about what we should or should not be eating. Nutritional therapy cuts through that noise in a way that is entirely individual to you.

Nutritional support uses food, diet, fasting, supplements, functional foods and dietary counselling to help people reach their health goals. Those goals can range from weight management and disease symptom support to optimal sports performance, eating for a healthy pregnancy and beyond. The primary focus is food as medicine – evidence-based dietary intervention to optimise health and wellbeing.

Research has shown that we are all unique and that dietary changes work best when tailored to the individual. Rather than following a generic plan, nutritional therapy starts with a thorough assessment of your health, lifestyle and goals, and builds a strategy around you specifically.

WHAT TO EXPECT

How Nutritional Support helps you

What you eat affects every system in your body. Here is what our patients typically experience with nutritional therapy.
01
Supports weight management goals
Rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all diet, nutritional therapy identifies the approach that works for your body, your lifestyle and your specific goals - making sustainable change far more achievable than generic advice ever can.
02
Improves skin and digestive health
Many skin and digestive conditions have a strong dietary component that is often overlooked in conventional care. Targeted nutritional intervention can make a significant difference to conditions including IBS, bloating, eczema and acne.
03
Supports mental health and emotional wellbeing
The connection between diet and mental health is increasingly well evidenced. Nutritional therapy can help to manage stress, low mood, anxiety and fatigue by addressing the nutritional foundations that influence mood, energy and cognitive function.
04
Improves cardiovascular health
Diet plays a central role in managing blood pressure, cholesterol and wider cardiovascular risk. A personalised nutritional plan can complement conventional treatment and in some cases significantly reduce reliance on medication over time.
