Steve Harper

Osteopath & co-owner
BSc (Hons) Ost

Steve grew up in Nailsea and as a youngster developed a keen interest in sports, playing for Avon County Basketball Team and gaining a black belt in Tae-kwon-Do, which he taught for two years.

Following school he went on to achieve a degree in Physiology and Biochemistry from Reading University. Still keen on sports he picked up the inevitable injury which led to an interest in sports medicine and osteopathy particularly. Steve qualified from The British School of Osteopathy in 2003.

Steven treats using both structural and cranial osteopathic approaches and also uses dry needling (western acupuncture). He also has a keen interest in how health technology can help improve our general well being.

Steve worked for Nailsea and Backwell Rugby Club for 7 years heading up their medical team and has also spent 3 years looking after the first team players at Bristol City Football Club.

What Steve's patients say...

I have degenerative disc problems in my lower back, which can cause severe pain and walking difficulties at times, Steve works wonders on my back, in just a few sessions , can't thank him enough for his expertise and care!

Osteopath Steve Harper should be nick-named "MAGIC FINGERS". I'm not cured of planter fasciitis yet but what he did in just one session alone was little short of miraculous! So, I went back for more and the 2nd session was also quite progressive. Worth every penny. I'll be back.

Steve is a fantastic osteopath. I've been using Walnut Grove for many years and go every two months for maintenance - which I highly recommend. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I go back to Walnut Grove quarterly to iron out any issues my back has incurred over the time. Receptionists are very friendly & welcoming. Steve is always ready to listen to my back issues & sorts them out, giving me advice at the same time. always a positive experience
