Can I claim on my health insurance?
The practice is recognised by all major health insurance companies. Please check the terms and conditions of your individual policy and obtain the appropriate authorisation and referral to confirm that your treatment costs are covered. Please Note: Check with your provider if they cover the completion of medical forms, as if required, there is an additional fee payable.
All patients are ultimately responsible for any unpaid fees.

Osteopaths at WG are no longer covered by BUPA as they will not reimburse our fees in full and they will not let you top up the fee.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You don’t need a referral to see any of the therapists at WG. We routinely inform your GP (with your permission) of the diagnosis and treatment plan.
Will the treatment hurt?
Sometimes treatment can be uncomfortable but your therapist will be asking for feedback throughout the treatment process and will respond should you find it too sore.
Will I need to take my clothes off?
We will respect your dignity at all times. There is a curtain provided to change behind if required and we suggest you wear clothing that you will be comfortable to be examined in. It is useful to remove some clothing but not essential if you are not comfortable with this.
Will I be sore after treatment?
If depends on the treatment. Research does demonstrate that about 50% of patients are sore for 24-48 hours after certain treatments, but very rarely for longer than this. Your therapist will give you advice about things you can do at home to keep the discomfort to a minimum, and on how much activity you should expect to do in the days after treatment.
Will I be pressured to buy a block of treatments?
No. We do not sell blocks of treatments. Every patient is an individual with a unique set of circumstances and as such the therapist will be able to give you some idea of how many treatments you may need.
We do book our Pilates classes in monthly blocks as we have a small space for only 8 people and therefore it’s not possible to run a ‘pay as you go’ class.
