Pilates is a system of exercises concerned with improving breathing, posture, strength and flexibility, a series of slow, controlled movements that help bring the body back to its natural alignment.

Pilates

People of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy the benefits of Pilates.

Pilates works the whole body, this benefits sportspersons, improving co-ordination and balancing muscle development, Pilates is a useful rehabilitation aid after injury, it can be used to help in the treatment of bad backs and to overcome problems with joints and muscles. However, you don't have to have a health problem to benefit from Pilates, it's great for anyone who wants to improve their general fitness level.


Pilates Gym 

Some of the exercises require equipment; at Walnut Grove Clinic we have a well-equipped Pilates Gym where we offer one to one or one to two sessions with our Pilates Therapist.


We also run mat based classes in our studio for up to 8 people.

In pilates it is essential that the classes are small as feedback from the instructor is important throughout the class.
